Amending File Browser width

By Cari Jansen | April 24, 2003

Digitip 004 - Adobe Photoshop 7

Do you find that when the File Browser is docked to the palette well you can’t make the browser window wider only deeper? Use the following workaround to make the browser window wider.

If the File Browser is docked to the palette well, start by “undocking” it.

From the File Browser fly-out menu select “Show in Separate Window”, the browser will now be displayed as an individual window for which the size can be amended. Set the browser width to the preferred width, and select “Dock to Palette Well” from the fly-out menu, to place the File Browser back in the well.

The width for the File Browser window has changed accordingly.
