About
Cari Jansen is an Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI), Senior Solutions Consultant for Typefi Systems and Adobe Ambassador Program member, based in Western Australia. She holds a BSc in Communication and Information Technology, and delivers quality software consultancy and support services in a number of Adobe applications including Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, across Australia. She also delivers seminars, including eSeminars and presentations for Adobe Systems and provides documentation, InDesign solutions and professional services for Typefi Systems.
Starting her career in the early 1980s as compositor, reproduction photographer and neg.prep/imposition-specialist, she first became familiar with Adobe software during the change-over to digital desktop publishing systems in the late 1980s. She completed studies in conventional prepress technologies (compositing, reproduction photography) as well as prepress and print management (order management, marketing, product planning) and has a strong print publishing background.
Prior to migrating to Australia in 1995, Cari worked as prepress manager for a modern graphic design / printing firm in the Netherlands. She has since completed here Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment, over 16 Adobe Certification exams and a Comm & IT degree and worked in professional services. Over the years she has retained a strong affinity with creative software, in particular with Adobe applications and has a special interest in preservation of digital records, workflow automation, XML and other geeky stuff.
Apart from running her own professional services business Cari develops course material and technical documention, for a number of organisations around Australia. She has over the past 12 1/2 years developed a great working relationship especially within the Western Australian Design, Print, Publishing and Corporate community, but also Interstate.
When she’s not working or catching up on latest s/w and info tech developments, you will find her out and about, swimming, walking, jogging, hanging out with friends, shopping, watching a movie, going out for a meal, reading a book or online Skype-ing with friends and family around the world.
