Dreamweaver Full Circle

Ok, back in 1996 when I first connected to the internet (yes, only 10 years ago…), I built my very first web-site by writing HTML 3 with the use of a simple text editor… Shortly followed by a total recreation using Adobe PageMill and uploading it to the server using SiteMill (remember those applications???) Later again, I purchased the Macromedia Graphics Studio and redesigned my web-site using Dreamweaver 4…

Then Adobe acquired GoLive… I remember purchasing an early version and never really getting around to using it until it was bundled with the Creative Suite… which is when I decided I’d better migrate my site to GoLive from then Dreamweaver… I remember the slight feeling of fear initially, as I was used to Dreamweaver … but persisted with the change…. Today, I really like GoLive have gotten used to is and know my way around the application pretty well…

However, with the acquisition of Macromedia by Adobe I have since purchased Studio 8 and in reading today in the press release that future versions of the Creative Suite will be bundled with Dreamweaver, with GoLive returning to a stand-alone product (with continued support and development by Adobe), I felt it was time to turn back to Dreamweaver…

So as of today… I’m blogging once again from Dreamweaver… coming full circle…
